“When I started acupuncture with Jenni, I was desperate.
For years I had suffered with migraines so debilitating I could not get thorough essential life activities without taking pain medication nearly every day. I really had tried “everything,” but nothing got to the root of the problem or helped me understand where the migraines were coming from.
I didn’t think acupuncture would help because nothing else really had, but during my first treatment with Jenni, I was quickly proven wrong. I don’t think acupuncture is a miracle cure because nothing in life ever is, but it helped me to think more holistically and make real progress with the migraines. “Four years ago I was going to have back surgery.
All the tests were run, however, the surgeon decided that because of my age he wanted to check three things out beforehand. So, he sent me first to physical therapy sessions, then chiropractic sessions, and then he said we would do acupuncture for three months. Acupuncture to me was somebody in the woods with a pointed hat and a big pot stirring it. It just didn't make sense, but I did it anyway, and after several treatments the pain was gone. “I first met Jenni in 2015, not long after she moved to Kona.
I was referred by a friend. At the time Madam Pele was occasionally reawakening, and from time to time the VOG plume drifted up to Kona, aggravating my asthma symptoms and sinus allergies. I had already been using acupuncture for a long time. We moved to Kona to escape the poor air quality of the L.A. area in 2013, but Madam Pele decided it was time to add some more land to the Big Island.
As the lava flow increased, and the VOG worsened, then the 2018 eruption happened, I planned ahead a got weekly treatments from Jenni, and sometimes Tia, through 2019. Those treatments helped a lot, and nowadays I rarely have asthma symptoms. Jenni also prescribed Chinese herbs to help with asthma symptoms, and Tia gave me a flower essence treatment to use, one that she makes herself.
So here we are in 2021, and I decided to get vaccinated. Both shots left me feeling tired afterwards for a few days, so I had both Jenni and Tia treat me for fatigue. It made a huge difference in shortening my recovery time. So, if you decide to get vaccinated, I can recommend getting post-jab treatments from them. It really helped.”

“Aloha. I wanted to share my experiences with Tia since starting with Red Lotus Health.
I was experiencing extreme pain in my left leg and hip. Unknowingly at the time I had two cysts growing on my spine that were pressing on the nerve causing sciatica symptoms (I eventually had it corrected with surgery after over a year of dealing with the pain)—but before I could wrap my mind around surrendering to surgery I wanted to try everything I could naturally. Thankfully I met Tia. Let me say a couple of things about me and where I was at going into my first session with Tia. First, I’m scared to death of needles, and second, I did not believe it would work AT ALL. I went because my husband urged me to do something/anything about the crippling pain I was in. I could not walk more than ten steps without stopping, and I could not stand for more than five minutes. All I could do was sit and squat and lay down to alleviate the pain. I was miserable and unhappy.
So, I laid down on that table with no hope and knowing it was probably a waste of time but again I was miserable, sad and in pain, so what the hell. The minute the first needle went it I began to feel such powerful emotions I started to cry. I saw swirling colors of the Chakras and a feeling of being pulled from my body—I had to center my thoughts and literally felt I would have floated off the table if I had let go and allowed the sadness and pain to consume me. The surge of energy and healing wasn’t immediate because we learned my body likes the opposite—left leg pain needed right leg needle placement. By my third visit, Tia and I were so in sync that I could tell her what area was feeling the chi from her needle placement. I zapped her a few times with my pent-up energy, but I think sometimes it’s because we have such a strong connection. Tia not only brings me a sense of being healed but of also being heard. We have such a bond and trust that she hears me when I am asking for a needle placement that I feel is wanting attention.
Tia has given me back my happiness and wellness—I plan to continue maintenance with Tia as long as it feels right.
I am happy to say I have been 100% pain-free since March 2020 and I continue to enjoy my time with Tia every month. It is the best self-care and “me time” I can give myself.
